2008
September - In keeping with our philosophy of responsible
and profitable forest stewardship in British Columbia, TimberEdge
is pleased to announce our recent affiliation with Wood Tech 21
(WT21) in Port Alberni. Since 2005, this volunteer group of credible
and experienced individuals has been actively developing and promoting
an innovative, integrated, and regionally sustainable model specific
to Port Alberni forest resources. WT21 is quickly gaining momentum
and credibility in its dedicated effort to revitalize the region's
forest industry with its distinct Nine Point Vision. As a result
of these visions, and with its outstanding global network of supporters,
the society has developed a specific community based concept known
as the "Culture of Wood"™. With this powerful identity,
TimberEdge is working with Wood Tech 21 in developing The Culture
of Wood Institute, an international educational program that will
globally promote all innovative and sustainable aspects of our region's
forest resources.
